Happy Friday! Today Rob gave me flowers, which automatically makes today a great day:) Also, we are going on a Halloween Cruise later tonight to start off the Halloween festivities!

In defense of the original Minnie Mouse...

Has everyone seen the images of the "new and updated" Minnie Mouse? Well,  in case you haven't heard, Barney's Department store recently gave Minnie a high-fashion makeover for their holiday display.

This is the result:

 Personally, I think it's awful! What's wrong with the classic Minnie?

A Touch of Lux

I have to admit, I am loving my nails this week. I just bought Essie Lux Effects "A Cut Above," and I combined that with Essie "French Affair."

Here is how it came out:

I had to apply 3 coats of "A Cut Above" to get it thicker, but the polish spread really easily. I also applied a top coat to make sure that it smoothed over the glitter, so it didn't feel bumpy.

Rent the Runway: Our Runway

Have you guys heard of Rent The Runway? I haven't had a chance to use this site yet, but the next time I need a dress, I am definitely trying this out. Basically, you can rent a designer dress and then return it after wearing it.

My absolute favorite thing about this site is that they have a new section called "Our Runway." This is where you can scroll through pictures of regular people (not just models!) who have rented a dress, so you can have an idea of how it looks on. You can narrow it down by your age, bust, and usual size. So cool! I have literally been scrolling through pictures all day and daydreaming about wearing these dresses.

Luckily, there are a ton of opportunities coming up! Two of my best girlfriends are getting married in 2013. Not to mention, my own wedding! I have my eye on two dresses that would be perfect for a bachelorette party ;)

A mix of things

First, sorry for missing Friday's post! It was my mom's birthday, and I was busy shopping my little heart out :)

Note the coffee! Haha, I was on a mission!

I bought her this top from Loft:

Loft Brushed Feather Tie Front Blouse for $59.50 (40% off today!). blouse 

I love this top so much that I may go back and get this for myself! I would wear this belted at the waist with jeans and pumps or boots. It would also look cute with black skinnies and pumps. 

She also got this:

This would look so cute with a statement necklace and/or belted at the waist. 

Second, I wanted to share a hairstyle that's so easy for a busy day. I have been studying and doing school work all day, and this hairstyle is perfect. It's sort of an inside out ponytail:

Just tie your hair into a low ponytail, separate your hair inside the ponytail into 2 sections to make a hole, and then pull the ponytail up and through the hole.

Last, has anyone else been listening to Taylor Swift's new album, Red? OMG, I am obsessed!

On my wish list..

Here are a few things I would love to add to my closet:

1. This ivory peplum top from LuLu*s for $41.00. This would look so cute paired with some sky-high pumps. top

2. Coated skinny jeans from Forever21 for $29.80. These would also look great with some pumps! I'm liking the leopard with them, too! jeans

                      


3. A new lipstick. I'm hoping to go to Sephora this weekend to try some new shades. So far I am liking NARS Catfight and NARS Scarlett Empress.

4. A pair of bright heels. Possibly these Seafoam Heels from Forever21 for $22.80. heels

Perfection. I don't know why Emma Stone and I aren't best friends so she can share her clothes with me--or at least her shoes!
